OK Bomer, Since you're in charge out there....

WTF is up with California ?

Hello

Hey guy's hope you all had a good turkey day. The nephew is doing better, hopefully home for Xmas, thanks again for all of your thought's. Speaking of Xmas I know you guys heard this from me before but I'll say it again. I know time's are tight for everyone but a letter or a card to our fellow servicemen and women oversea's is cheap to send but is priceless to the receiver. I know most of us never had to face the kind of job these young folks are doing so lets show our support. We all know if we don't do it who will. I wish all of you a happy holiday season!!!!
My nephew's name is Cpl. Paul S. Powell

Happy Turkey Day!!!

Hello Leathernecks,
I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving and reminding themselves of all the things to be thankful for. I am truly grateful to be alive and in fairly decent health and thankful that I have real friends and loving children in my corner when the going gets tough and I want to throw a pity party for myself.
I recently found out that I will be reverting back to Sergeant soon and while it was quite a blow to the old EGO, I realize that the same God that was in charge when I got the temporary position is the same one in charge now and since he runs the universe and not I , maybe I should just do what he puts before me. It's been a great learning experience and a challenging opportunity. I can only pray for his will for me and the power to carry it out.
Just thought I would share this with you guys to let you know that shit still happens and thus we grow.
My eldest son completed his freshman season with the best rushing/touchdown record the school has had in years. His team was undefeated in league play. The other two will play in bowl games this weekend and will end another chapter in the Bomer boys football saga. Once again, "One Proud Pop".
George, you take good care of yourself and I want you to know that I am truly thankful for your friendship and all the "foxhole" time we spent together. You are the glue that holds us together and I want to go on record as saying I for one really appreciate it. If you ever need anything do not hesitate to let me know. If it is in my power to do so you can consider it done.

Woody, glad to hear your nephew is doing better. Let him know we "Peace Time Marines" really appreciate the sacrifice. Let's try to get him to blog so we can stay abreast of what's happening in the new Corps.

Steven B., Que Paso Bro? When we gonna get started on Capistrano West?

I hope everyone has a productive weekend........LOL........ and as usual

Update on wounded nephew.

Hello everyone just thought I'd let you guy's know how my nephew is doing. Of all the day's to get hit what day did our fellow Jarhead get his???? Nov. 10th. I think we all know what day that is. Four day's later he's recovering at Bethesda Naval hospital. That is quick. Another thing before he left I gave him one of our unit patches for good luck, he told me it's now laying in the streets of Fallujah in his flak jacket, the corpsman had to cut it off him. When I told him that having the grim reaper in his pocket might not have brought him good luck, he just laughed and said"Of course it brought me good luck, I'm alive and I did'nt get shot in my pretty face". Hopefully the boy will be home for Xmas. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes everyon have a great Turkey day.

Back To The SP2 Thing

My new version of XP has the SP2 package with it, and it works great, Firewall and all, I would still caution anybody not to download the update without having the disks to start over. If you have misplaced your disks (as I had) don't risk it.

As for my health, my body evidentaly don't get along with drugs, all the stuff they have given me since I was diagnosed with high BP has crippled me. I'm doing OK now
back to work and all that. But Doctors as a rule SUCK. Only my latest has listened to me. Try taking almost a year with no income. Hurts.
Woody, I hope your nephew is recovering in good fashion, we appreciate his service.
If he has an e-mail address we could extend the invataion to blog, I'm sure the Dragons would welcome his view.

Hey Steve

Go to edit posts and click on the Dragon one. See where I inserted the text "this link" thats what you have to do to make a clickable link, put some text between those carets, otherwise there is nothing to click on.

Nephew wounded in Iraq

Hey guy's sorry I did'nt get on here and wish all of you a happy V. Day, I hope you all had a good one, and needless to say Iam proud to have served with all of you. Some of you know my nephew is in Iraq. Well now he's in Germany in the hospital with his right lower leg shattered by 2 A.K. bullets. I know the political scene in this country is a mess and I do my best not to get on a soapbox but now my family has been shot and I'm a little pissed. We had the men and the logistics to do this Fallujah Op. a month ago according to my nephew, but for some weird reason we did'nt go in till after the election. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that if the op started before the election and it turned into a bloodbath it would have hurt W,s chance,s.

My nephew is a grown man, and no one forced him into the Corps. He did his duty and I will not dishonor his sacrifice by pissing and moaning about the political stuff. I hope all of you are well and say a prayer for the young men and women that serve our country.

It is unfortunate that we celebrate the birth of the worlds Greatest orginization at the same time we are loosing so many of our brothers in Iraq.
I know I am a better person for having served, and I am proud to have done it
with all of you.
