You must be the guy in the hat

cuz the other guy is shorter than I remember you ,I think he works in DC your hair is much taller than I remember, and you appear paler, but your stance and demeanor are all marine

Glad to see you back in the mix George!
I just got appointed to a temporary Lieutenant positon due to the LA hiring freeze. Imagine that.... Another opportunity to strut my stuff!!!!! Hope everyone is having a good time. Been taking down drug dealers in downtown LA lately. Talk about fun!!!! Take one down and two replace him. Talk about job security....
No mention lately about Reunion II the West Coast Adventure.

further note

You all have the power to edit each others posts, being that we are all Marines, I dont view this as a problem, I was proved wrong once however, but nothing has happend since soooooo anyway
click edit on one of my posts with a clickable link and see what it looks like in 'puter gobbletygook

Posting a link on the blog

when you are on the posting place, after upload file, then spell check, you will see a small globe a chain link superimposed on the bottom right of the world. click this when you want to make a clickable link.
I would recommend copying the link first before going here, and then pasting it, cuz some of them can be long, or type away, when you have done that and it shows up in the post box., you have to type something between the last two >< or else there will be no highlighted text to ckick on . have I made myself clear? hope so

You guys are so funny! You Steven B with your comment about
Airforce Bootcamp. You're so right, "WHAT CAN YOU LEARN IN ONLY
6 WEEKS? Those Airforce pukes don't know what bootcamp is all about.
And you Steve T with your remarks about the Yellow Pages and the way
Marlette 'doesn't tell you what to do'. No, you're right, I don't believe
that for a second. By the way the proper spelling for the slang term
of whipped is 'whup-ped' not whooped. Remember your phonics, the
double oo carries an ooh sound like who. Okay, that's enough of English
class for the day.

And a word to 'you dreamers'. I can't even remember when the last time I had
a dream was. Of course that might be cause I don't remember too much of
anything anymore, including the conversations I had as recently as yesterday.
Is it my age, the motorcycle wreck I had in '85' or all that abuse my brain took
when I was young and still 'invincible.' One of these days I'll remember to......
Damn, I forgot what I was going to say.

Work is as busy as it has ever been. Lots and lots of work going on in the
transmisson business of Georgia Power Co. When are they going to start
building some generation out there in CA Steven B? Tell all them enviromentalist
to take themselves off to some other state, preferably Bosnia-Hertzagovenia,
and then get them state regulators to make some changes in the laws so you
don't have more of them blackouts like they had awhile back up north of you.

As soon as I get that bathroom finished, I'm going back to the Power 90 workout.
Got to get hard for the summer so I can impress all them middle age women at the
neighborhood pool this summer. (Then they can go give their men a hard time about
how fat they're getting.) You guys ever notice how wives seem to have this innate
ability to put up with their own widening butts but as soon as your belly starts to
hang a little to far out over the belt line they start in on how fat you're getting. Oh,
well. On and on turns the carousel.

This is the kind of stuff I do now

This is the kind of work I did before moving to Design

Good Afternoon to all from a very comfortable 74 degree Ca.
Nice to see a little more participation lately on the Blog.
Best wishes to you and your Dad Nelson. My 95 year old grandfather is going through demensia
and is very disheartening when he doesn't recognize me, just apart of life I suppose.
Stephen T., I would think your daughter would need the protection of her father while
visiting a distant State. Maybe you could offer to arm wrestle Marlette for the trip. Is her
family still in the area?
Pete, I end up back in the Corps ever once in awhile in dreams. Most re-ups are good
except when I end up with my gear all moth eaten and its time for an inspection.
Maybe I have unresolved issues.
Hey Dave, rather disappointing watching the Lakers limp out onto the court lately.
Dale, maybe you should keep your wife away from the home improvement cable
channels, Diane went through the redecorating mode about a year ago. It costs
money and sleep.
Y'all have a good weekend.
Semper Fi.
Oh yeah, my Nephew graduates from Airforce bootcamp today, 6 weeks of pure heck.
What the hell could you learn in 6 weeks? Oh well I'm still proud he's doing his part.
Steven B.

Hello Dragons,

I see it has been awhile since I have posted anything, almost a month. You know how it is. Good
intentions but the follow thru is tough sometimes.

I talked to George this weekend. I had to call for some tiling advice. He is doing okay and is on the
way up. He has had a rough time of it through the end of last year up till recently. He put himself in
detox for ten days at the urging of his loved ones. Too much alcohol is not a good thing for the body.

Denise has me involved in another house project. The basement this time. We started with a good
cleaning and trips to the junk yard over Christmas holiday. Now I am trying to get the bath that was
stubbed in when the house was built, up and operational. I'm sure Chuck would get a good laugh if
he could see the solder joints that I have in my plumbing. But looks don't matter as long as the pipes
hold water. And an extra roll of solder is cheap compared to the price of a professional plumber.

Baseball is starting soon. Trevor has been going to weight and agilities training since the end of football
season. Tryouts for the baseball team are in the first week of Feb. He says there is really only one other
guy that will be trying out for catcher. He is really starting to fill out and grow up now. I can even see
the beginnings of mustache hair on his lip now. Puberty, it's a wonderful thing.

I'll stop here and say so long till next time. Semper Fi

Christmas was nothing special, spent a quiet evening with wife and daughter thinking
of the grandson we lost this year, some things will just never be the same.
The twin 10 yr old grandsons flew in from Oregon on the 26th and leave on the 5th.
We try to compensate them while they are here for the less than loving atmosphere
they endure while @ home and tend to go overboard with the gifts. This year it was
motorcycles with all the protective gear. The look on thier faces was priceless.
We have spent every free moment @ the OHV area in Gorman. Guess I need to get some work done since I'm the only one in today(or maybe I don't since I'm the only one in today).
I sure wouldn't mind it if traffic stayed the way it was coming in this morning, even with the rain!

Happy New Years!!!!!!
