Hello all

This is my first posting and since I am a blog virgin I hope I get this correct. Just wanted to post a personal update on the Weidow family to get everyone caught up since last seeing everyone. Linda is doing well and likes her job as an active duty case manager at the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune. She really has a heart for her work and is a tenacious advocate for the Marines and sailors she helps, most of whom are 21 and younger. She is personally vested in the recovery of many of our wounded service people and doing a superb job. Jennifer will be 22 this Sept and is a senior at UNC Greensboro majoring in psychology, minoring in sociology, or at least I believe so but I'm only the dad and of course the last to find out about anything! She should graduate this Dec. (God willing) I graduated from East Carolina University in May with a Masters in Adult Education (who'd a thunk it)! and am currently happily retired and unemployed aside from adjunct faculty at the local community college. After a two month break I am becoming increasingly restless and have started a selective job search and am trusting that God will provide the right job at the right time. Finally, I would be remiss if I did not share a major life marker event that has transpired in my life since the reunion. Many of you probably do not know that I was adopted as an infant and after some comprehensive searching (mostly on Linda's part) I have found and established a firm relationship with my birth mother and two biological sisters. What a true blessing! My birth mother came to the US after WWII with her family from a PD (displaced persons) camp in Germany. Unfortunately her mother, my grandmother, as well as other family members were killed during the war. My mother is Ukrainian but traversed most of eastern Europe during the war like most refugees fleeing the German Army. In conclusion we are all well and God continues to bless us daily. I pray that you are all well and that God will bless you and those you love. I hope to periodically update everyone on a routine basis through this medium. Pray for our service members. Take care. Bill
